So I've reached the end of this BzzAgent Bzzcampaign for Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Stips. Well, the end of my samples anyway - I'm definitely not through talking about how cool these strips are!
I'm faily confident that the results speak for themselves.
Here is the photo of my teeth before I began trying the Listerine Whitening Stips.
And here I am today.
I admit, that the lighting isn't identical but I can see a big difference in real life - and that is what counts!
You can explore ALL of the photos I've taken while using the Listerine Whitening Strips here or on my Flickr page.
So, having used them for nearly three weeks, I have a few pros and cons to share:
Pros:
- Quick Dissolving rocks! No messy clean up, and your mouth has a nice fresh feeling.
- Nice thin packs you can take anywhere.
- Easy to put on - you don't even need a mirror once you get the hang of it!
- No discomfort to my gums or stomach.
- No teeth sensitvity issues for me.
- Invisible - no one can tell you are wearing them!
- Doesn't restrain your ability to speak clearly (I've heard some strips do)
- I smile more now, because I am more confident about my newly white teeth.
- They work!
Cons:
- Opening the pack with the notched "tear here" guide doesn't always work well, and can be frustrating.
- A slight medicine-ey flavor, but it is Listerine after all, so it is to be expected.
- Sometimes parts of the strips don't dissolve as fast as others, leaving behind some bits here and there (swish some water though, and it's gone).
- Slightly pricey - around $30 for 56 strips (but you can find them for less on Amazon.com)
- Twice a day application can be a bit much, and I'd forget to do it.
As mentioned above, there were times where I'd forget to do one of the two daily applications. And a few days, I forgot totally (but it was Christmas and Christmas Eve, I had a lot going on). That said. I still had great results.
So, at the end of this whole process, I can say I am quite happy with Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to avoid the "tray" method and wants to get whiter teeth in a relatively short amount of time. True, I did get to try these for free from BzzAgent, but I wasn't paid in any manner. Also my opinion is 100% honest, and if I thought these were truly awful, I'd have said so.
Would it be worth the investment? I say yes, and for that matter, I plan to do another round of these strips in January or February, just to maintain the progress. I drink a LOT of coffee and tea, so I know this will take a bit of effort on my part to keep my newly found whiteness.
By the way, you can get a free sample on this Wal-Mart web page and also, it has a $3 off coupon.

There is definitely a change going on in my smile. I show it more!
Not that I was ever really embarrassed by my teeth. I just wasn't overly proud of them. I never really paid that much attention to how they appeared to other people. But now I KNOW my teeth are getting whiter thanks to the Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips, it makes me want to show them.
Does that sound vain? I hope not. I hope it is just confidence. I feel more confident that's for sure. Just from whiter teeth? Yeah, actually.
So, it won't be too long before I wind up this Bzz campaign and I will have to decide whether to keep using the Listerine Strips on my own dime, or not. So far, it looks like I'm going to stick with it!

I've been using the Listerine Whitening Strips for nine days now. I am putting them on at least once a day, though, I try for twice. Some days, I just plain forget the morning strips, but by 4PM, somehow I remember the evening set.
I really think I am seeing some results now.
I've been really impressed with how easy they are to put on. You can just zip into the bathroom and put them on in 5 minutes. I always worry someone will walk in as I'm putting then on and I will look like a goof. But it is so fast to do, that I am done before that ever happens.
My main complaint is that the packs are just not that easy to rip open. I always seem to mess up the "tear here" opener halfway across the package. Then I am having to re-rip it open from the other side. Not a big issue, but it is a bit of an annoyance if you are doing this process several times every day.
If you are thinking of using these, keep in mind they dissolve. This is great because you don't have to mess with taking them off. If you've tried the "thin strips" type breath mints, this is pretty similar.
You can get a $3 off coupon on the Listerine Whitening Strips website - click here.

I've been trying out the new Listerine Quick Dissolving Whitening Strips courtesty of BzzAgent. My plan was to do 2 strips a day, one set for the top and bottom teeth in the AM and the PM.
I didn't manage to do that. But I have been able to do the two strips once a day. I wasn't sure that would work too well. But I'm sticking with it.
The Listerine strips are handy and you can put them on anywhere. I prefer to have a mirror, but I've put them on without one - its a cinch. Plus, they do dissolve quick, usually 15 minutes. I like that. I am still not overly fond of the taste - the "Clean Mint." Like I said before, these strips don't burn or bother me in any way. It is just the flavor reminds me of sugarless gum that is losing its flavor.

Today was a great day! My BzzAgent Kit arrived, wherein I get to sample the new Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips.

The strips are pretty thin, as you'd expect. I wasn't sure what to do with them, but thankfully the package had the very simple instructions on the back. The packs are smallish and can fit in your pocket, so you can put them on anytime.
Once you have the strip out (one per pack), you can just put it on your teeth, fold it over, and get on your way. The notch is the key, it has to face a certain way or else the whitening won't work (the pack shows you how to apply it).
And now, with them on.
Honestly, you can't tell I have them on. I was visitng with a gal a few weeks ago, and I could plainly see a clear flap extending from her front teeth. It just looked weird. But the Listerine Whitening Strips were nearly invisible.
Now for the "Quick Dissolving" part of the strips. The first day, I'd say it took about 30 minutes for them to dissolve. But then again, I waited to drink anything - I wanted them to last as long as possible.
My plan is to do a strip on the upper and one on the lower teeth, twice a day for about 2 weeks.
I think they'd be a bit quicker if I'd just let them dissolve like normal. I'll update on that.
As for the flavor, I thought it was just OK. It wasn't minty like gum or toothpaste. It wasn't medicine-ey like some mouthwash. I'm not sure how to describe it. Not overly wonderful, but not yucky. It is just OK. And one thing I was worried about, was burning. Previously we've tried strips that burned the gums. With the Listerine Strips, I've had no such reaction. No burning or irritation. It was great.
Of course, I won't see results for a while so I won't be taking photos every day. But here and there I will, and hopefully soon I will see some change. All that coffee drinking has caught up with me, and I am ready to brighten my smile.

I just wanted to pass this along...
A while back I joined up to be a BzzAgent, which means I sometimes get to evaluate things (websites, consumer products) at no charge if I agree to share my opinions (whether + or -).
Bzz asked me to join up and poke around Gusto, a travel-based social network. So far, I really like it.
If you like to travel, and write about your experiences and opinions, you might like Gusto.
It is a free site, and has a lot of functions. I really have not spent enough time with it to rave about it, but I like what I see.
If you want to join, use this link http://www.gusto.com/bzz. That will get you DOUBLE the storage space (from 1GB to 2). I don't get anything if you sign up, just so ya know.
Anyhow, at some point I hope to do more with My Gusto Page, but for now, it is mighty bare. But if you do join (again, free), add me as a Friend.
